About Pens by Travis
I have been turning custom pens for about two years now & finally developed a web site to share my work with more people. All of my pens are made from rare materials, but the ink refills are easy to find in any stationary store. I have added Bottle stoppers & one Teleidoscopes with this update. Laser engraving is available.
There are other web sites that import inexpensive pens from over seas, but the wood quality does not compare with the custom made pens from STABURLIZED® WOOD materials that I use. I find materials that are imported from all over the world & are considered exotic & rare, but believe my sources are purchasing this material form legitimate tree farms & not destroying trees in the harvesting of this wood. The finish process I use produces a high luster very durable finish.
I stand behind all of the products I sell on this website. The Pen mechanisms are guaranteed by the manufacturer. Cross Style Ink Refills are available through this web site, but you can find them at a local stationary store. The burl materials I use are from Native Woods STABURLIZED® WOOD exclusive process that produces a solid safe pen. Pens are one of a kind in the sense that no 2 are exactly alike because the material varies in color & grain patterns are different. Make great gifts!

Each pen is made from solid wood or acrylic material by drilling a hole through the center & gluing a brass tube inside, then machining the ends square to the tube. The blanks are mounted on a lath & turned to the correct diameters, then sanded & polished to a high luster. The wood pens get 3 to 5 coats of finish to provide years of service. The finished pen is assembled waxed with a Museum quality finish & tested by me & has to meet a high standard of Quality before I offer it for sale. My customers have been satisfied over the last 2 years & I want you to be happy with your new pen.
